Putting People First (personalisation and prevention)
The aim is to support the implementation of Putting People First.
Puting People First (HM Gov 2007) outlines the key compoents of the future care and support system in particular:
- the equality of independent living for all adults
- organisations/services working together to meet individual requirements
- the participation of people who use services and support, and those who provide support to them in the development of the future care and support system 'from the design stage onwards'.
Putting People First is about shifting the emphasis and resources within health and social care in order to move from one typified by crisis intervention towards one where early intervention and prevention are the norm.
